Bali has everything a traveler can dream of, and there are some places in Bali where you can end up staying for weeks or even months even if your initial plan is just for a day trip; Ubud is one such place. Ubud has the best food in the world (it sounds like an exaggeration but is not), it's the best place for you to get sample Bali culture, and the people happily let you participate in their festivals and rituals.
While some may find Ubud a little too urban compared to, other parts of Bali, it's very close to a number of ancient sites, temples and traditional Bali villages. It also gives you the best accommodation options: you can live in five star resorts, or mingle with the locals by living in inns run by locals.

A weird practice taking place in Bali, known as selling heads or selling tourists, mostly of the Chinese origin, to the highest bidder is a very controversial and disreputable tourism practice. These involve buying of Chinese tourists by tour operators and pressurizing them for taking tours, visit shops and eat at restaurants of Bali. Allegedly, that gives large commissions to the tour operators of Bali.
Activists of a forum organized by Bisnis Bali were in the opinion that if the government does not take steps against this problem, this practice of selling heads will spoil the image of Bali as an ultimate tourism destination. A local paper said that the provincial government of Bali should take away the business licenses of companies involved in this practice.

Bali is an Indonesian island with major flights going in and out of the capital of Denpasar. The lovely and lush Arma Resort and Museum in Ubud is a great location for Bali travel accommodations, since it is strategically located in the heart of Southern Bali at the center of picturesque rice fields. It is also just steps away from bustling shops, artist villages and ancient temples.
In the evenings there are many entertainment options surrounding the resort, including performances of Balinese dance and gamelan music. Small villas at the resort include their own private swimming pools, as well as outdoor traditional showers and indoor lily ponds complete with gold fish and chirping frogs. Sunscreen , bug repellent, an umbrella , a plastic rain poncho and sturdy sandals are all essentials for exploring this island paradise. Since Bali is located near the equator, its average daily temperature is around 86 degrees with high humidity.
